All the books I've read with my reviews.

1984 - George Orwell, Erich Fromm This book was easier to read the second time around. I feel I understand it more in relation to the world today. It's eerie and ironic how similar this book actually is to today. The book was written in 1948 (the WWII era) to predict what the world would be like in 1984, and how it would permanently remain by 2050. Here we are in 2011 and it can easily be argued that he could be right! We do have a "Big Brother" system put in place here. True, it's not as extreme as in the book but any form of "Big Brother" is not a good thing. "Freedom is slavery" "War is Peace" & "Ignorance is Strength" Slogans to fear and begin to see evident in the world today...
